Lovable can build full-stack products, connect Shopify stores and help run advertising. AirPunk should therefore be compared on how it coordinates a consumer-brand workflow, not on an outdated claim that Lovable only makes websites. Choose according to the custom software you need, the commerce backend you want and how much implementation work you want to direct.
Published by AirPunk. This is a documentation-based comparison informed by our own implementation, not an independent hands-on benchmark of paid competitor accounts. Examples are hypothetical; product availability and plans can change.
| Capability | AirPunk | Lovable |
|---|---|---|
| Product scope | Consumer-brand research, storefront and campaign workflow. | Custom full-stack apps, websites and commerce projects. |
| Commerce backend | AirPunk storefront and commerce path. | Shopify integration for new or existing stores. |
| Ads | Meta actions and creative generation on eligible plans. | Google and Meta advertising tools documented. |
| Code workflow | Do not assume developer-export parity. | GitHub synchronization documented. |
| Main decision | Do you want a coordinated brand-launch workflow? | Do you need a product you can specify and extend? |
Lovable is a general product-building environment. Its documentation covers frontend, backend, authentication and integrations. That makes it relevant when the experience itself is custom: a product configurator, a booking service, a customer portal or a commerce site with unusual interactions. A plain product page is only one possible output.
AirPunk connects the work around a consumer brand: a market scan informs positioning, product imagery and the storefront; ad creation uses that same brand context, and Meta campaign actions include pausing, resuming and changing a budget. The benefit is continuity between tasks. It does not prove that a suggested audience wants your product, that every creative is accurate or that the resulting campaign will be profitable.
For a hypothetical matcha brand, ask whether your first advantage comes from a distinctive buying interface or from a well-positioned offer reaching the right customers. If the product needs a sophisticated personalization flow, software flexibility may dominate. If the first task is testing one offer and creating a coherent launch, evaluate how much coordination each route removes. These are different priorities, not different levels of ambition.
Lovable documents connecting a new or existing Shopify store. Lovable handles the storefront-building experience while Shopify supplies commerce functions including payments, inventory and logistics. Do not evaluate that setup as a decorative mockup. It can be a relevant choice for a founder who wants a custom front end on a dedicated commerce backend.

The operational consequence is that you must understand where each change belongs. Is a product price owned by the commerce backend, or displayed from a separate value in the front end? What happens when inventory changes? Can a cart survive a page refresh? In a connected setup, test the connection as well as each tool. AirPunk should face the same end-to-end test rather than receiving a pass because its workflow is more integrated.
Lovable’s advertising documentation covers Google and Meta campaigns, creative preparation, tracking and approval before changes. Media charges remain with the advertising provider. AirPunk’s verified campaign actions focus on Meta. A business that requires Google Search from the outset should include that difference in its shortlist instead of treating all ad features as interchangeable.

A useful acquisition comparison asks where an ad idea comes from, how it becomes an asset, what destination it uses and which outcome is measured. Try an objection-led brief such as 'people think matcha is difficult to prepare'. Request one explanatory creative and a matching section on the product page. Assess factual consistency, time spent correcting the output and whether the result can actually be launched. Do not rank tools by the number of variants alone.
AirPunk’s launch tasks reuse information about the brand, product and market. The product-page task draws on that context; creative and campaign tasks reuse the relevant product and positioning information. Its default ecommerce sequence produces a packshot, hosted product page and three Meta creative variants. This is a concrete reason to evaluate it for a focused consumer launch: you are coordinating related deliverables rather than separately describing the brand to every production tool.
Lovable’s full-stack scope becomes relevant when the experience itself needs custom behavior: a product-selection quiz, a signed-in customer area, a calculator or a workflow connected to your own data. Those are examples of requirements to specify and test, not claims that a single prompt delivers production-ready features. Write down what should happen, which records are stored and what a customer is allowed to access. Custom software adds flexibility and also creates behavior you must maintain as the business changes.

A useful dividing line is this: does your next sale depend on developing a distinctive digital interaction, or on getting a coherent product offer, page and campaign in front of buyers? A hot sauce with a simple offer may not need a custom application. A personalized subscription service may. AirPunk’s defined launch tasks should not be presented as equivalent to an unrestricted application builder; Lovable’s flexibility should not be confused with validated demand or an automatically managed physical supply chain.
Building an application and operating a business overlap, but they are not identical jobs. A feature can work technically without improving conversion. A suggested campaign can fit the brand without making economic sense. Ask each system to distinguish an implementation task, a business hypothesis and an observed result. 'The new page is published' and 'the new page sells better' require different evidence.
Lovable is worth testing when you want to specify behavior in detail and evolve the product. AirPunk is worth testing when you want a brand-centered sequence to propose and connect the next tasks. Neither comparison proves that one requires less supervision in every case. Evaluate a change request after the first build: modify a product promise, update the page, refresh the ad and confirm that old claims have disappeared everywhere.
Lovable documents GitHub synchronization, which provides a concrete developer workflow. Access to source is valuable if you want another developer to maintain the project. It is not the same as migrating every service the application uses. Databases, storage, authentication, payment configuration and domains still need to be accounted for.

AirPunk should not be sold as providing the same self-serve code workflow without a supported export path. If portability is a requirement, write an exit checklist before subscribing: what can be downloaded, which accounts you control, how customer records are obtained and whether a replacement can process a test purchase. This avoids discovering an architectural dependency only when you need to leave.
AirPunk’s public web plans are Starter at €19.99/month with 10 credits, Builder at €49.99 with 20, and Operator at €99.99 with 50. Starter covers site edits and strategic chat; AI ad creation and Meta campaigns require Builder or Operator. A subscription covers one brand. Monthly credits do not roll over. Media spend, goods and fulfillment are separate from the subscription. More credits give more capacity, not a guaranteed number of profitable campaigns.
Lovable separates plan entitlements and usage; consult its current plans for the combination you need. In a Shopify-backed project, also include Shopify, relevant apps, payments and media. A free prototype is not a complete operating budget. Conversely, do not add imaginary developer costs to make one route look more expensive: include only work your project genuinely requires.

Compare a finished task, not one prompt. The task might be 'publish a working product page, revise it once, create an approved ad and verify the purchase event'. Track both usage charges and founder time. A cheaper first generation can become expensive if you repeatedly repair the same issue; a more flexible system can be worth the extra setup if that flexibility is central to your product.
Choose Lovable when custom product behavior, developer collaboration or its documented integrations are decisive. Evaluate AirPunk when the immediate objective is a focused consumer-brand launch and a coordinated workflow is more valuable than broad application-building freedom. If you already have a working Lovable project, first identify the missing job. Replacing the whole product to solve one marketing problem may be unnecessary.
Yes. Its Shopify integration is a documented commerce route, not just a visual prototype.
We have not run a controlled benchmark supporting that blanket claim. Compare completed tasks, required approvals and the work still left to the founder.
No. Include actual usage, connected services, media and the time required to complete the same workflow.
